In Phillippi Estate Park on Wednesdays, October - April. Nov 2019. The farmer's market is held every Wednesday from 9 am to 2 pm, October - April, and offers a nice selection of vendors. There were a lot of people in attendance when I was there. Lots of food vendors, farm products, and other interesting items for sale.

Phillippi fished the waters of the creek starting in the early 1880s and sent his catch to Cuba creating a vibrant local economy in the process. As Sarasota Bay developed, William Joel Drumright bought the land that the park sits on for $50 in 1883. In 1987 Sarasota County bought the land and created Phillippi Estate Park as we know it today.

See people fishing and boating. Folks come and read, journal and relax. Some folks come to walk their dogs. The path is interesting because at one point you are in a tropical jungle!
