Club Med was closed 2 years ago, will not re-open. All land for resorts on Bora Bora are long term leases, this lease was coming up for re-negotiation. Land owners wanted considerable more money. No deal was put together that everyone could agree upon.

Bora Club Med. 16 years ago. Save. Just returned last night from 30 days at the Bora Bora Club Med. Fairly new GO team lead by Fred created a great traditional CM experience. One of my best trips in the last few yrs. Only fished once and had the big Blue Marlin on for a few jumps. Short lived but a real kodak memory moment.

The seafood is very good - lots of evenings with shrimp, and for Bastille Day (July 14th) they pulled out ALL the stops, with oysters, lobster, etc. Club Med Bora Bora Restaurant. Breakfast was probably the most disappointing meal. The only consistently good hot food was crepes.

Hi, We went to Bora Bora recently, bit long trip from Sydney via Auckland and Papeete. Finally we arrived to Bora Bora on small plane and by ferry to port of Vaitape, island's main town. Then bus took us to Le Maitai, about 6km on south part of island. View of island is fantastic, tall hills of volcano covered in lush green and around blue lagoon.
