The Alex Cole Cabin is a historic house in Sevier County, Tennessee, United States, along Roaring Fork within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The last remaining building of the community of Sugarlands community proper, it was built by Albert Alexander "Alex" Cole (1870 - 1958).

Alex Cole Cabin . Ephraim Bales Cabin. Just a short drive up the road is the Ephraim Bales Cabin, the home of Jim's older brother. Ephraim, his wife and nine children all lived in the small home, which is actually two cabins side by side with a rood connecting them together. The home remains as it did years ago, along with Bales' hog pen.

While now located at the Jim Bales Place, the Alex Cole cabin was originally located just below Cole Cemetery, near the heart of the Sugarlands area of the park. Cole was one of many mountain guides from the Sugarlands. The cabin was probably built around 1850 by Cole's parents or in-laws.

The corn crib and barn are Bales's, but the cabin actually belonged to a man by the name of Alex Cole who lived in the Sugarland area. It was relocated here so that its original location could be returned to nature. Bales moved to the area in the 1860s and lived here until Great Smoky Mountains National Park was created in the early 1930s.
