#1 · Jan 7, 2015 I found a sweet deal on some 37s for my MW3 edition.I know I will need spacers but I trying to figure out how much lift I need to clear these without cutting my flares. To run 37's the JKUR would have needed a far more substantial lift to allow the tires to clear without rubbing. So my experience is that a JK can run 33's with no lift, 35's with a 2" lift, and 37's with 4"+, re-gearing is likely to be more important with 37's.

What does it take to fit 37s on a JK? Fitting the 37s, however took a little more than a trip to the tire shop. He remembers, "To run the 37-inch Trail Grapplers I needed at least the 3.5-inch lift and trimmed, stock fenders.

Now I got a 2 door jk looking to put 40s. I have already rubicon express long arm kit guy said inch but looks about 4. Had 35s. 5.13 gears front and rear. Flat fenders. It's rubicon so 44s front and rear. Axles sleeved and gusset.

There is the Stretched 2-Door thread and the Post your 37s thread, so I thought 'lets see what 40s+ on little 2-doors look like and what guys have been doing to get them to fit.' Plus their thoughts on that big of a tire and lift on the short wheel base they are running.

Has anyone seen a 2-Dr JK with 37inch tires? I'm planning a regear since I have the 3.21 gears on my Sahara and I figure that if I have to do that I might as well try to accomodate it for 37" tires. marslim 1800 posts · Joined 2012 #4 · Jan 14, 2015 This is the jk general discussion forum so I would guess JK. yes you can fit 37's with a 2.5 and flat fenders. You'll have all the same issues as with anytime you want to run 37's (pinch seam, gearing, front end parts, axle strength, spare tire, wheel offset etc).

This 2 Door Jeep JK Rubicon is a perfect example of one of our "Mid" level builds. This customer opted to maintain the factory Dana 44 axles with a small 2.5" aftermarket lift kit and King Shocks to clear the 37" tires on Raceline wheels. The customer also wanted to be weight conscious, and decided to go with a full GenRight Aluminum wrap.
