Posted April 6, 2010. when i fished it a few years ago, most of the fish came from the marginal shelf, there are a few platau's, one of them very obvious sandy one between the island on the arm. i suppose area's for starting points are halls pit end (100's), the 40's -60's ,no carp bay up at halls pit end, and opposite the bottle pit.

Use a snowman with a 18mm dark boilie and a 12mm bright pink fishmeal pop up. I approach bottle pit by fishing the margins with a big 18mm wafter or bottom bait with a handful or 2 of 12mm boilies, crushed boilies and pellet. A small handful of bait catches those patrolling carp and as the margins are deep, it's easy to stay concealed.
