Welcombe is a village and civil parish on the coast of north Devon, England, just north of the border with Cornwall. It is part of the district of Torridge. The population taken at the 2011 census was 187. [1] It is accessible via the A39 and has a beach called Welcombe Mouth, which is a challenge to get to. [citation needed]

General Free parking available at Welcombe Mouth and Village Hall. Free parking also at the Old Smithy as long as you also use the pub! Phone signal can be weak, especially at the beaches. In an emergency send someone by car inland to get a signal. Wear walking boots/shoes or wellies on footpaths. Especially important if the ground is wet.

Welcombe Mouth beach is located on the Celtic Sea (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 72th place out of 78 beaches in the Devon region The beach is located in a natural place, surrounded by the cliffs. It is a spacious coastline with turquoise water and bright sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes.

Welcombe Mouth. A secluded and quiet bay located at the end of a rough unmade road. A small car park gives access to one of the loveliest beaches near Hartland. Some of the lanes to get here are quite narrow but it is worth the effort. Sandy from mid tide onwards, it also offers some excellent rock pools.

This hidden gems is part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is surrounded by steep, rocky cliffs and costal slopes. When the tide is low it reveals a small beach of golden sand with many rock pools to be found along the fore shore.
