Quayside Music Festival Weymouth Spring Bank Holiday 2023
The Dorset Hot Air Balloon & Music Festival. Dates: 4th - 5th May 2024. The first hot air balloon festival will be taking place in Dorset at the Dorchester show ground in 2024. The line up includes a night glow show, fireworks, funfair and bars. There is also live music, on site camping and morning balloon flights.

The Weymouth Music Festival was inaugurated in 1987 by Janet Ferrett, who had been inspired by the popularity of the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition. She suggested a local music festival at a Weymouth Music Club committee meeting, and the club gave £200 to get the festival started.

The Festival was founded in 2008 and over the years grew to become Weymouth's biggest event, originally based around Weymouth Harbour and more recently relocated to the Peninsula. The Dorset Seafood Festival, was the first of its kind in the area and was a huge hit with locals and visitors alike, attracting seafood-lovers from across the country.
