Jackfield Tile Museum is one of the ten museums of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust. For about a hundred years, from 1862 to 1963, the Severn Valley railway line ran through the area, on its route between Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth. There were sidings to support the several tile works in the area, along with Jackfield Halt for passengers.
