- SZ has the A01A diff which is an open diff = shit house - SZ-R has the A02B diff which is a torsen LSD with the same diff housing as the A01A diff, but the centres is Torsen LSD -> I might be wrong here, but i'm pretty sure this is what I understood from the forums

I have looked at a few Supras lately, and a couple have claimed they're "SZ-R"'s. But 2 of which have been series 1 Supras, with no Recaro buckets or anything. I've seen the series 2 SZ-R's with the recaros.

Really is a bargain for the price, literally $2k in mods and you have a low 11 s car, that is perfect for daily driving too. We don't have many dedicated platforms anymore. #1 · Mar 20, 2017 Hi all, Looking for your opinions on which basically makes the most sense/is easier to do/and most importantly cheaper to do for obtaining a JDM Supra and making it a TT 6 speed car. Buy a RZ-S (Twin Turbo Auto) and swap in the V160 ($$) OR Buy a SZ-R (N/A V161 6 speed) and swap/build the 2JZGTE the way I want it.
