It's worth noting that with the new Chaos Space Marines codex, Noise Marines, Plague Marines, Berzerkers and Rubric Marines are available to a much wider range of Chaos Legions. The Black Legion has always been renowned for bringing together Chaos Space Marines from far and wide in its warbands, and any of the "cult marines" make for a strong choice in the army.

I find it amusing that Plague Marines in a Black Legion detachment (assuming Battle-Forged) have a higher Leadership than Plague Marines in a Death Guard detachment (same assumption). Also, I miss the days when all of the Cult Troops (Plague Marines, Thousand Sons, Khorne Berzerkers, and Noise Ma.

Is there any value in taking Plague Marines in a Black Legion force? I have the dark imperium box but I have been building a Black Legion force for some time. 1) Standard nurgle/plague marine greens and browns (think goatboys quick and dirty plague marine guide on dakka) but with a black shoulder pad and perhaps the black legion decal with gold shoulder trim. 2) Standard black legion colors, with lots of muted gray added in to represent wear and decay on the armor.
