On a new Tomos A55 motor you go from about a top speed of 30 mph to about 38 mph. Moped engines are incredibly simple to rebuild compared to a car. I really don't think the number of miles on a moped really matters that much because after 20,000 miles you can replace the bearings, seals and gaskets for $60 and go another 20,000, and so on.

It has a 50cc two stroke engine, two speed automatic transmission, and pedals. It is fully street legal and to me anyway, looks better than a scooter. The first time I rode it, I felt like a kid.

Is Tomos a good quality brand of moped? Compare it to Honda Hobbit or Puch Maxi for me. I guess Puchs don't come with blinkers?? Which Tomos engine is best? The 1992 and before (A3).or later models?
