Yes, but since 1997 there's only been 3 games in the main series. In 2008, 2010 and 2018. I guess you're right, it's a rerelease of a 1998 game made in 2002. Thanks to a leak that happened a year ago we know that Capcom is working on some type of new Mega Man title for consoles.

Capcom has suggested that it's going to take its time for the next Mega Man game, noting in a recent investor's call that it's taking "care" when considering a new game.
