I was wondering how many times launch control was used. Here is how to check using Ross Tech Vag-Com. Connect Vag-Com and go into the automatic transmission controller.

There was a thread I was following on the C7 A6 board, but I switched cars and thought I'd look into this for the S4. But if it's problematic, then I don't see the point.. It takes a few days to get used to using the wheels/sticks to control vs. touch, but after that it's perfect. 2012 S4 6MT - no issues.. 2024 RS6 Performance - Ordered.

It is definitely hardcore and the car hauls ass but my Audi-sense tells me if you racked up enough launches, you gonna have trouble with certain warranty claims (especially given what the manual has to say about this feature). I am 99.99999% certain there is a usage counter for launch control.

It appears that launch control essentially disables itself after revving at 4,000k for few seconds. In a manual, usually you could rev up the engine and mash it once the light turns green. How do you properly time the launch control with this auto-disable feature. Seems very automatic and sudden.
