The Buffer adds certain special effects, such as the invisibility (when cloaked), and the motion blur when using force speed. But it also tends to destabilize the game. It works well as it is and may very well work as it was always meant to. The game dives much deeper into different uses of the force. Not all were necessarily meant to be super important. A lot of powers and abilities had almost no point to them. Could be chalked up to the game getting rushed.

First of all, you can change to Visas or Kreia and then go into first person mode (I believe you just click the joystick) and you can see people's alignments just like force sight. There is one more purpose to force sight and that is you can see people behind walls/doors.
