The term "Iridium Point Germany" stamped on them is a blatant lie in 99.9% of cases. There are only two manufacturers of pen kits worldwide who use anything other than IPG nibs, one being ourselves at Beaufort Ink in the UK, who use our own German made house nibs, the other being Dayacom in Taiwan, which whilst they are engraved IPG are actually also German.

it looks like its in a pair as both pens have exactly the same design, ones ball point and one fountain nib with the words 'iridium point germany'. there is also stones on them, 4 stones on one and one on another which i believe to be 3.4mm Swarovski Crystal Chips. please can you help me find the right value of both of these pens.

It isn't uncommon for Iridium Point Germany nibs to be attached to a brandless nib holder and feed. I'm afraid this is just a generic pen with a common nib and a custom cap, as it looks like many of the ones you find if you look up "Vintage Iridium Point Germany fountain pen".

15 msc1200 • 4 yr. ago All cartridges marked DIN or standard international should work for you. Depending on if you want to use a wider variety of inks, a converter might also be an option. Then you can use bottled ink. Again all of them marked as DIN of standard international should be fine.

It's merely a colloquial abbreviation for IRIDIUM POINT GERMANY, an imprint used on steel nibs. This imprint supposedly identifies a nib that is tipped with a hard tipping alloy, usually osmiridium or Plathenium, and it implies that the nib — or at least the tipping material — was made in Germany.

Iridium Point Germany nibs are generally (although not always) knock-offs made in China. Especially on a MontBlanc. Sorry. This is most likely a fake. I saw many of these in Thailand when I was there. Most likely, the nib will not write well at all. The MontBlanc Meisterstruk nibs are unique I belive with the 4810 engraved on them.
