One end has 2 bolt slots, the other has one. When looking at Jake's pictures of real DTM cars, that bracket is mounted with the 2 bolt side facing aft.

08-08-2012, 04:58 AM My plan is to use the AKG DTM shifter in conjunction with a UUC twisted selector rod. As we know, using a G260 in a swap results in a 10 degree rotation of the trans. The DSSR is twisted to accommodate this, however, the gear selector nub on the trans is not the center of the rotation.

All, 1986 models got a revised 260 Getrag. The 325e/i all used the 260 Getrag but when BMW came out with the E30 / M3 they once again went back to the Getrag 265. BMW going back to the Getrag 265 at two later dates, indicates they believed in the 265. The 265 Getrag uses brass shift forks that never wear out.

It's closer to what the BW shifter looks like. It's easier to turn a piece on the lathe and weld it to the rod. It's also easier just to weld the rod directly to the bearing, reduces the piece count and faster to make.
