In 1938 the model was updated as the R51, gaining a telescopic front fork and plunger rear suspension, and continued in production until 1940, by which time 3,775 of these exciting sports roadsters had been sold. Factory records show that this particular R51 was delivered new to Stokvis in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
