Peter-Derk Muffels ontwikkelde de bieren in een kleine brouwinstallatie die bij één van de jongens op zolder stond. In maart 2014 kon er voor het eerst bier worden geproefd.

The restaurant has all these hard surfaces making it loud when there's a full house. The tables, at least where I sat, were the tall raised ones with the high stools. I'm not so much of a fan of that design being a short person.

Bier. In 2013 brouwden wij voor het eerst bier in onze eerste brouwerij in de Amsterdamse Pijp. Inmiddels maken we prijswinnende bieren, frisdrank en van bier wat overblijft stoken we weer gin en jenever. We maken alles zelf, zo lokaal mogelijk en volledig biologisch want dat is beter voor ons bier en voor de planeet.

About us. In 2013 we built our first brewery in a former monastery in De Pijp. The annual capacity was 100,000 liters, and that was all drunk on the spot. Since then, it went fast: we are brewing and canning another 700,000 liters on the Westergasterrein, making us Amsterdam's biggest independent brewery. Brouwerij Troost de Pijp is the place.
