The Toy Dolls first ever gig was at Millview Social Club, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, 20 October 1979.. After a number of tours Dean departed, a best of album 'Ten Years Of Toys' was released by NIT, the band split from NIT and went searching for a new deal. In September 1989 the band signed to Receiver Records, drafted in Bass Player K'Cee.
