It's one of the highest coastal mountain ranges in the world. These mountains are home to indigenous peoples as well as protected species like the cotton-top tamarin monkey, jaguar, and caiman. I visited Tayrona for 3 nights as part of a two week trip to Colombia and it was the perfect place to explore the beaches and coast of Colombia.
