Fue construido sobre los restos de un antiguo solar que perteneció al Colegio de San Miguel, el cual fue derribado a mediados del siglo XX, cuyos dueños eran el Cabildo de la Catedral.

In the plaza is a picturesque semi-circular arched colonnade featuring a fountain decorated with frescoes, amid arcades, columns and parts of a medieval wall. Well worth a visit if you can find it.
