Over Marinke van Zandwijk. Marinke van Zandwijk (NL, 1987) is beeldend kunstenaar en glasblazer. Ze studeerde aan de Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam. Sinds 2001 werkt zij in Glasblazerij Leerdam, onderdeel van het Nederlands Glasmuseum. Ze presenteert haar werk in tentoonstellingen in binnen- en buitenland en werkt in opdracht.

Marinke van zandwijk. Ik blaas bellen. Glazen geblazen bellen spelen veelal de hoofdrol in mijn werk. Op zoek naar vergankelijkheid en vervorming vinden ze hun context. Uitgangspunt daarbij is de uitspraak 'Homo bulla est' (De mens is een zeepbel) van de filosoof en humanist Erasmus, een uitspraak die vertaalt hoe ik mijn belvormen beschouw.
