In Nederland kennen wij de OV kaart, en openbaar vervoer Londen kent eenzelfde systeem: de Oyster Card. Dit is een blauwe chipkaart die eigenlijk exact hetzelfde werkt als de ov-chipkaart. Je laad hem op bij machines en tapt vervolgens in en uit bij poortjes. Ook toeristen kunnen gebruik maken van deze OV chipkaart, iets wat niet veel mensen weten.
