Born in 1936. Studied at Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan, under the guidance of the late Nandalal Bose. A retrospective of his work was held in 1993. He is closely associated with the museum and art gallery at the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata. His creativity has also extended to sculpture and writing.
