Just purchased a new monitor and was faced with the exact same issue (Gigabyte G32qc) My new monitor as a option DP 1.3 (120hrtz only) or DP 1.4 (165hrtz+) DP 1.3 was fine getting into bios DP 1.4 get the issue no display whilst booting until it gets to windows. I managed to get the Display port working again on the problem child monitor. Ended up hooking up a HDMI cable, going into System setup > DisplayPort Stream .and setting the option to 1.2. This managed to bring the display port back to life again. FWIW I could not get into System Setup without connecting the HDMI cable.

The ONLY solution I've come up with is to physically unplug both HDMI and DP monitors, then plug them back in, DP first. After this process DisplayPort will then be an option to output sound to.
