Sesshomaru and his mom are also almost always in the humanoid forms. I always guessed that the humanoid form requires some minimal life energy/ demon energy to maintain which must have slowly dissipated after his death and his dead body reverted to original form. Sesshoumaru and His father look simialr to the Great Pyrenees Mountain dog, the Maremma Sheepdog, the Kuvasz, the Akbash Dog, or the Polish Tatra Sheepdog. Look up pictures of them and you will see what i mean. I think that Sesshoumaru and his father are actually similar to Youko Kurama in that they are Spirit animals.

19 eerirhea • 3 yr. ago Sesshomaru's is HIS tail lol. Setsuna's mokomoko was a gift from Sessh, so it looks like he may have just cut off part of his mokomoko to give it to her. My understanding is that inu hanyo don't have them naturally because they can't transform into the giant dog, like Sessh, Toga and Sesshomaru's mom can.
