Le mieux est de se garer dans les parkings de la plage de Pals et de rejoindre Illa Roja par le sentier côtier. On peut aussi la rejoindre à la nage, de Sa Riera ou de Platja de Pals, via les vias verdes, sentiers de natations installés le long de la côte avec des marquage par bouée jaune. Ce n'est pas si long que cela, avec des palmes.
