While the wide-bodied 19931994 RS 3.8 resembled its sibling 964 Turbo, it is readily identifiable by its larger fixed bi-plane fiberglass rear wing with the 3.8 logo embossed on its side plates.

RS 3.8 In 1993 Porsche released an even more extreme version of its Type 964 Carrera RS. While the RS of 1992 was relatively restrained in appearance, the 3.8-litre version featured the same wide-body look of the Type 964 Turbo, with the addition of a large rear wing, which was adjustable for different downforce levels.

What engine does it use? Porsche 911 engines never look very special. But this air-cooled flat-six is meatier than most, at 3.6 litres and 264hp. That's modest by modern standards, but the RS is around 150 kg lighter than the standard car - plus it boasts a lighter flywheel and close-ratio five-speed manual gearbox.
