Ein interessantes Beispiel zeitgenössischer Architektur ist das rund geschwungene Ku'damm-Eck an der Ecke Joachimsthaler Straße. Im gegenüberliegenden Kranzler Eck stehen bis zum Neubau im Jahr 2000 die Stühle des Café Kranzler auf dem Bürgersteig. Heute ziert die rot-weiß gestreifte Markise immer noch die Rotunde des Neuen Kranzler Eck.

An gleicher Stelle stand zuvor das 1998 abgerissene alte Ku'damm-Eck .

For more than a century the Ku'damm Eck has been one of the most prominent commercial and multipurpose edifices shaping the face of Berlin's City West. Having become known around 1900 as a residential and commercial property, then a clothing company with a glass lift, in the '70s the Ku'damm Eck morphed into a multipurpose building.

The Ku'damm-Eck on the corner of Joachimsthaler Straße is an interesting example of contemporary architecture. At the Kranzler-Eck opposite, until it was modernised in 2000, the chairs of Café Kranzler stood outside on the pavement. Today, the red and white striped awning still decorates the rotunda of the Neues Kranzler-Eck.
