After a stroll through the beautiful village of Teguise, the island's former capital, my wife and me went towards the Montaña de Guanapay, a hill about 135m above the village with the 'Castillo de Santa Barbara' on top. From the main road outside Teguise a surfaced and about 1,5km long secondary road leads up to it.
