Posted September 9, 2004. APX loves high definiton developers and reacts with high sharpness but little change in graininess. I tried it with FX-2 recently and the results are sharper than with Rodinal 1:50, grain beeing about equal. If you want a bit more speed, less grain and slightly less biting sharpness - still better than D76 1+1 which.

Since then I always stick to ISO 100 for weddings. And Agfa APX 100 just nailed it - really fine grain, deep blacks, nice subject separation, a very good film for outside and inside use (just place your subject closer to the light source like a window). I hope you will enjoy the provided shots.

At this point it is worth pointing out this stuff is double marked, both as Rollei Retro 100 and as Agfa APX 100. It has been relabelled and repackaged. This is clearly not rebranded aerial film but, in fact, the fabled old Agfa stock sold to Maco when they withdrew from the consumer market in 2004. This is also not the same APX film that Lupus.

Here are my impressions of Agfa APX 100 film. This film is super easy to find in Germany, most pharmacy type shops (DM, Rossman) stock them for just over 4 euro, really quite a steal for a solid black and white film.
