Getting to Llanos de Cortez. Coming from Playa del Coco or the surrounding areas, drive through Liberia. I was driving from Playa Hermosa, just North of Coco, and the drive took 55 minutes. The main intersection entering Liberia has a bunch of fast food places on the corner (currently McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell). Coming from Playa del Coco, turn.


Llanos De Cortez Waterfall Fit Two Travel

Both the Llanos de Cortes and Rio Celeste were all that was promised. The hike is not bad at all. The steps down to Rio Celeste are 300! Yes. You read that right. I am not an avid hiker and in fair condition and was able to do it comfortably. Hector, our naturalist and guide, was very knowledgeable and made the trip enlightening and exciting.
