The Cat Lake recreation sites and lake have now reopened after being closed for over two weeks because of the presence of a bear in the area. No reservations are need as this is a first come, first served site. There are walk-in campsites all around the lake. However, BC Parks cautions that this site has had numerous bear problems each year.

Cat Lake Campground, located 20 minutes north of downtown Squamish, is a quieter alternative to the busy Alice Lake Campground just down the road.
