We (an under 35yo couple) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the gold twin cabin aboard the Indian Pacific. The train journey is a brilliant one to do as you live well aboard with great views, comfortable fresh temperature (we travelled in height of summer), ability to retreat to your room or mingle in the lounge.

Each Platinum class cabin is 82.5 square feet, including private, en-suite shower, sink and toilet, which is almost twice the size of Gold Service. The cabin is converted to lounge area by day, with a moveable table and two ottomans. At night, it converts to a double or twin beds; the interior is finished in Tasmanian Myrtle wood.

Cabins > Platinum Double Cabin A comfortable double bed, en suite, large panoramic windows and an interior corridor window providing views to both sides of the train, combine to create a sumptuous space. With such comfort and in-cabin breakfasts, you could be forgiven for spending extra time in your Platinum Service cabin.
